A Sad Sad Day

I was at my Sis-in-law Sara's blog just now. She had this fun thing in her post. I thought I'd give it a try. Boo Hoo. I wish I hadn't, but I did, and now I'm doomed to share it with all of you.

blog readability test

See Dick. See Jane. See Dick and Jane. See Spot. See Spot run! Run away Dick and Jane!!!
Is this what I sound like? Boo Hoo! I guess this means something about my loyal readers.. HA! Joke's on you, then! What is the highest level of education you have completed? Answer!

Don't feel bad. Mine said the same thing. Plus I put in someone's who I know is really smart and it said that it's elementary level too. The thing is, it's not like we're writing a novel or anything. We're documenting what is going on in our familie's lives.

well, if it makes you feel any better - both Kimberly and mine are elementary too!

Ours is at Jr. High level - sounds about right with all the hormonal fluctuations going on.

I think mine was jr. high, and I was so embarassed by it that I didn't even make a post out of it. But since yours in elementary, then hey, I don't look quite so bad, do I now? To your credit, Troy has mentioned to me that he really likes your comments on the city blog or website. He thinks you're a great writer and that you're thoughtful. You could change the sound and feel of your blog if you wanted it to score "higher" on that thing, but I like its voice right now. It's hilarious, and I always smile when I read it, so don't change a thing.

I'm in Jr. High. I hated Jr. High.

I find it very hard to believe that my blog scored an "elementary school" level because in today's post alone I used words like "decible" "administration" and "freakin'". That score must be wrong. Besides, I tihnk both of our blogs would earn a PhD Level in FUNNY, so who cares!

That just means you are a clear and concise writer. I am an MBA drop out - 3 semesters of graduate school.

If it makes you feel any better, Cara, it's a readability test - what school level is required for someone to read your blog. I would take it as a compliment that your writing style isn't so complex that it takes a genius to understand it. Rob and Sara just use big words - that's all. About 25% of their words are 4 syllables or more, where only about 10% of yours are. Go check out http://juicystudio.com/services/readability.php for all the "juicy" details.

I am so glad you visited my blog. This is so awesome, I had to enter mine and post it for the world to see. I'm stuck in lovely Junior High.

I have a lowly AS degree, but rub it in to my spouse every chance I get. He's SUPER smart, but has no college degree. Lazy.

Seriously don't trust this thing. I put two of my friends in that can't even spell and it put them at genius level and high school. I highly doubt that very much.
